Chesapeake Beach, MD (August 25, 2020) – Around 8:12 p.m. last night, August 24, a fatal motorcycle accident happened in Chesapeake Beach.

According to the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office, the accident took place on Bayside Road not far from the area of Camp Roosevelt Drive. When police arrived at the scene, they found a 2004 Lexus and Kawasaki motorcycle in the road.

Police discovered that the collision took place when the Lexus was traveling north in the area. The driver, identified as 49-year-old Jennifer Osterloh, was traveling along as a motorcycle came up behind her. The operator of the motorcycle was identified as Edwin Correa. He passed a vehicle as he traveled, which put him in the same lane as the Lexus. Police confirmed that the two vehicles collided head-on with each other.

Correa was ejected from his motorcycle at the scene of the accident. Paramedics were called to the scene but Correa was pronounced deceased due to traumatic injuries.

Osterloh was taken to a local hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

Police continue their investigation into the circumstances of the accident.
